Lauri Tankler

Lauri Tankler is the Head of Research and Development Coordination at the Estonian National Cybersecurity Center (part of the Estonian Information System Authority). A former journalist and teacher, he has been analyzing cyber incidents, raising awareness of cyber threats, and accelerating new ideas to boost the cyber-resilience in Estonia and Europe for the last 5 years. He is currently spearheading the local Estonian NCC (within the framework of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and the Network of National Coordination Centres or NCCs) to foster Estonian and European cybersecurity research, innovation, and entrepreneurship through EU investments, collaboration on research, market incentives and a special focus on the next generation of cybers pecialists. He is the first and current chairman of the Network of NCCs.
