Eltra MG successfully carried out a general overhaul of a submersible pump made by KSB, intended for demanding industrial operating conditions.

Description of the works performed

The general overhaul comprised a complete renewal of the mechanical and electrical assemblies of the pump, with the aim of returning the unit to a state of full functionality and reliable long-term operation:

• Dismantling of the pump and detailed inspection of all assemblies
• Diagnostics of the condition of the electric motor and the hydraulic part of the pump
• Replacement or renewal of bearings, seals, shafts and other worn parts
• Service and renewal of the hydraulic assembly (impeller, casing, guide vanes)
• Rewinding or repair of the pump motor as required
• Renewal and check of the insulation system
• Dynamic balancing of the rotor to reduce vibration
• Final electrical and mechanical tests
• Preparation of the pump for safe commissioning
